2014/15 Kits

Post by AmericanTiger »

Has anybody seen or heard anything about the kits for next year?

I'm assuming there will be a new kit for Home, Away and Europe.

The current home and away strips are still in their first season so I guess they'll still be used for 2014-15. The Europe strip is in its second season so that might be changed.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

I read somewhere, either here or the unoffy, that the contract with Canterbury meant a new strip every year.

Wrong BJ - unlike you to be inaccurate

Both kits will be changing, the home one to a "more traditional" one and the away one will be "different" - ie a bit more outlandish.
That's all the details being given at the moment, but also explains the give-away sales going on in the shop.

I was incorrect, not inaccurate. I made a guess on what I knew at the time.

The feedback the club had was that the home kit should be more traditional Tigers colours and designs (unlike the last 2) but that the away kit was less important and so more open to creativity -hence the designs for next year.

I am guessing we will see something for the end of season like we have previously but not sure on that.

My source has told me that there won't be a kit for European competitions

Good for the more traditional design. The club has lost so much of its traditions.

The buzz from down the ground is that the 1st team strip will be very much on traditional lines (amen to that !) but the change strip is "out there" as long as its not like the infamous french style pink and blue with Marilyn Munroes features on it ! I will await with much anticipation !!

From what I've heard, the away kit will be some form of orange number

Nooooo :smt022. I'd prefer to see a refined version of the current away kit which I think is the best away kit we've had in a long time. For the home kit I'd love to see a return to either the 06/07 or 09/10 style, either of those incorporated with a slight modern twist (slight Canterbury, no Tiger stripes or fluorescent colours).
