Manu named in England squad
Guess we should all be pleased for him but I admit to being selfishly miffed about it as I believe Tigers need him more
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity

Let's hope they don't damage him!

I'm extremely happy for him, but I have a real bad feeling if plays against Wales for the full 80 someone or something will destroy him. Fingers crossed I'm wrong.
Re: Manu named in England squad
Just shows you how desperate England's midfield situation is. A bloke who has been out for 5 months plays 70 minutes (pretty rusty for much of the 70 minutes too!) and gets drafted straight back into the England squad.
Always a Tiger

About as desperate as the front row situation. At least the rusty midfielder is renowned.bluntiger wrote:Just shows you how desperate England's midfield situation is. He's only been brought into the training squad, which is fair enough. Can't see him starting. Benching possibly.

Re: Manu named in England squad
My guess is he's been drafted up solely to get him back in the mix and up to speed with what they're doing in the England setup ahead of the summer. Don't see him being included against Wales.

Re: Manu named in England squad
Interesting read in the Mercury today in that Manu said he was ready to be called up. Personally I'd like to see him get a little game time against Italy but I don't really want him and Jamie Roberts battering each other into submission this weekend...

Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.
Re: Manu named in England squad
listening to 5 live last night, they quoted SL as saying he will play no part in the matchday 23
and before you ask - I have no link, no quote - it was radio !!! I assume you are allowed to post what you heard on the radio still?

As the moderators have said on several occasions, they don't mind if a piece of information doesn't have a link as long as you say where you got it from.Bunchy wrote:and before you ask - I have no link, no quote - it was radio !!! I assume you are allowed to post what you heard on the radio still?

I would be surprised if he is not on the bench. I certainly hope he is. He has missed an entire year of international games aside from a brief cameo for the lions.
Another cracker of a game coming up. Come on England c
