Interesting that Mele has been named as captain.

Mele as captain is a bold call although he does seem to have a lot of passion and always gets people motivated, The pack looks extremely mobile and should win our own scrums, Backs will be down to how Lamb plays, if he can put Smith, Scully and Thompstone in space we could be deadly, I also have high hopes for Hepetema at 12 (Lets just hope he doesn't tackle JTH like he tried to tackle Billy Vunipola)

David Mélé as captain, must be Cockers way of apologising for bringing him on to late to make a difference last week - the question is - if he plays to the top of his form will he keep his place when an underperforming
Ben Youngs returns(mine and Cockers answers may differ)

That's probably why he's the DOR, and you are not. Love your apparent insight into the captaincy appointment tho'!

Both teams with mixtures of youth and experience.
The front row battle will be tough for our guys, as Quins seem to have more experience. If we can get some parity there, it should be interesting.
Good to see Steeeve, Smithy, and Hawkins getting more game time after recent absences; and looking forward to seeing Matera go again.I hope that Stanko gets a run out - those splinters must be hurting!

Happy with that team - certainly good enough to win if they put in a shift.

Let us not forget, despite all the injuries we are still on for the TREBLE! :smt002

Quins team is very strong so clearly they want to end their losing ways in the LV. We are more than capable of winning if we put in a highly committed 15 man performance
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity

Two questions regarding our team.
Why isn't Stanko getting a game. He has been on the bench for the first team for weeks. Surely he needs game time if he is to be effective when we need him.
What's happened to Pohe? He played very well in the first 2 LV (Low Value) cup games, but seems to have disappeared. Is he injured?

13-6 HT to Quins

Sounds like we are struggling a bit at breakdown

Lets hope they sort it out for second half . Only a try behind :smt026

Martin Crowson is singing Matera's praises.
@martin_crowson: Goodness me, Pablo Matera is a beast and is going to be a serious player.
@martin_crowson: Pablo Matera looking a lot like a bigger version of Toby Flood.

Can't wait to see him play against Bath at WR next week. Hopefully Cockers has just given him time to settle in and we will now see him at something close to his best.
