Market Harborough's Timo restaurant (Castro's and Murphy's) closes after landlord re-possesses premises over non-payment of rent, Reported on twitter today by HFM News.

That's both a surprise and a concern for both of them.

I assume Castro kept his share when he left?

With business premises, it's not unusual to find a chain of sub-leases. If Castro and Murphy were tenants of a sub-lease, it's possible that it is their landlord who was behind on rent. It may just be a matter of neither Castro nor Murphy being particularly bothered about keeping the restaurant open in these circumstances.

It'd be interesting to know a bit more about the circumstances . . .

Timo restaurant Ltd went into liquidation last year and Meta Restaurant Limited was set up in place. Castro was never on the board of Meta and Murphy resigned on 30/09/13

I am not surprised the Harborough Timos closed.

It was over priced (for the quality), portions were small, and the premises lack atmosphere...besides that it was ok!!

Given some of the excellent restaurants and pubs in and around MH, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.

Stick to what you know is not a bad motto!
