Hmm, good old fashioned colossal impact tie, on a cold, wet winter's eve. What more could you ask for?

Not at all disappointed by that team - would have liked to have seen Benjamin in (surely he is unfit given no appearance on the bench. Would have also been good to have Logo in the 23.

Suspect Logo's calf injury just not quite there - not worth the risk.
Very pleased with the line-up and I like that extra bit of security that Matt Smith brings.
Blimey can't wait.

Re: Tigers vs Ulster - Teams up!!
With a couple of exceptions I think this is the best team we could have fielded from the fit players available. The exceptions being Ben Youngs, I would have preferred that Melee started with Youngs on the bench. If fit I would have liked
Adam Thompstone on the Wing with Goneva continuing his partnership with Allen in the centre pairing. Why Thompstone? Because he is fast and you need someone fast when facing Andrew Trimble. However Matt Smith did well when he came on as sub last week, so that's OK.

Re: Tigers vs Ulster - Teams up!!
I am sure I have read somewhere in the past that Smith was the fastest player in the squad. May not still be the case but he is no slouch and having someone at 13 who knows the position is a much bigger advantage than what would be a marginal gain in pace at the most.Noddy555 wrote: Adam Thompstone on the Wing with Goneva continuing his partnership with Allen in the centre pairing. What is the obsession with playing Slater out of position?RagingBull wrote:does anyone suspect Slater as our 8 replacement, with Deacon designed to come on and take his place as enforcer if Crane goes off.

Re: Tigers v Ulster team sheets
I've known the team all week, subject to Gilly's concussion. Weakened by Fat Deccie's concussion so I assume they will try to keep BBJ Afoa on for 70/80 minutes.trendylfj wrote:See Gilroy recovered from his "concusion" but Bowe and Fitzpatrick haven't. What's betting that is the team which turns out?
The game is too soon for Tommy Bowe, so there is no smoke & mirrors, if there is any change from that team it will be a weaker replacement, yet again we find ourselves 1 or 2 short when its needed. Then again so are Tigers so that's the way it goes.
I'd have given a lot to see Stevie Ferris make it but sadly he is now 15 months out & still rehabing. Ferris & Bowe, if they had been fit I reckon we would gut you. Oh well, we'll never know now.
