Well done the mods!
They have always been responsive and courteous when I have corresponded with them, and they need our support in fighting trolls.

Doesn't a vote of confidence usually come just before getting the sack?

I think this is only the case when the person proposing it is either the CEO or Prime Minister.longlivethecrumbie wrote:Doesn't a vote of confidence usually come just before getting the sack?

The mods do a great job. It seems there is a majority of one who thinks they don't.
Mods you are not doing your job properly by not removing the highly offensive post that says Santa is not real.

Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.
Re: A vote of confidence in the moderators!
We are incredibly lucky to have such a well run and - on the whole- fair forum. Have a look at other clubs' forums, where they exist at all. It takes us to post and keep it lively, but it takes the mods to keep order and they do a damn fine job. Thanks are due!
Re: A vote of confidence in the moderators!
A necessary job well done
Re: A vote of confidence in the moderators!
Vote in favour. They do a good job. I too don't like cheating and am regularly critical of the board on all sorts of matters. I think that this is a good forum so to do and everyone on the board of a public company is accountable. I hope that we raise awareness form time to time.
Re: A vote of confidence in the moderators!
The only criticism I have is perhaps that they're too lenient at times. However, it's a fine line to police and a I certainly don't think I could do it better, nor would I want to take that responsibility. Without the mods, there would be no forum at all and I appreciate the not inconsiderable time they spend on here to keep it alive. For the most part they do a good job (especially in comparison to some of the other boards around) and I thank them for the time and effort they put into this forum.

I think the fact that the moderators have allowed YBH's diatribe in this thread is a real credit to them. Who was it that said, "I cannot disagree more with your opinion but I would die to protect your right to have one"?
I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed man

Dunno about the exact quote of yours but there is this I am familiar with:L Smith wrote:I think it was either Ghandi or CockerillL Smith wrote:I think the fact that the moderators have allowed YBH's diatribe in this thread is a real credit to them. "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"
Evelyn Beatrice Hall. Often attributed to Voltaire I believe
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.
Re: A vote of confidence in the moderators!
Could write pages in support of the mods for the fine work they do and the restraint they show in the face of adversity, but settling for well done and registering complete support.
I am neither clever enough to understand nor stupid enough to play this game

Rizzo and myself are grateful for all the comments and your support. We try to moderate the forum in a manner that allows users to feel comfortable to post comments and discuss topics.
Having looked at some of the other clubs forums (where they have them) Tigers is one of the most active forums and this is down to the members.
Once again, thanks for your support. Please feel free to drop a PM to Rizzo or myself if you have any questions.
