Current forecast is sunny and clouds, and if correct, rather better than the downpour last year!

There was no misunderstanding, me owd. I thought I'd throw that snippet in just in case anyone was staying in Treviso and flying in and out of VCE.

I remember the diversion to Perpignan. Even though the vast majority of us wanted to go to the railway station in Carcassonne, the jobsworth in charge of the coaches insisted we were dropped off at the airport. Luckily we managed to grab one of the two taxis and get to the railway station in time for the train to Toulouse we were booked on.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

No worries!
We caught train to that match & had quite a run back from the ground afterwards to get to station for return trip only to find Carcassonne closed(restaurants/cafes/bars) when we got back. Should have stayed on in Toulouse & got last train back, live & learn!!

Can anyone let me know where the "old clubhouse" is at Treviso - sounds like it might be a good place to visit pre / post match. :smt002

We stayed at the Hotel Athenee Toulouse on Rue Matabiau. It was acceptable and less than ½ mile from Matabiau station. It's worth remembering if you go there again.

Hi all,

Ulster man here. Looking forward to coming to Leicester to the match next week. Was in Treviso in December, lovely place, had a super trip. Anyway good place to drink and watch the other heineken games is the Celtic Pub between the Continental/Carlton hotels and the bridge (its on the right hand side). Good place to eat is Da Pino in the main square. To get to the game, get the no 9 bus (there is a stop outside the Celtic pub). Ground has a few pop-up bars and one under the main stand. Top tip - Bring something to sit on if sitting on the concrete. Hope you don't get the fog we did!

Its not a bad pub, reasonable food and you can watch nearly all of the matches.
