If Bath tapped up George Ford then we are entitled to a payment, if his Dad advised his son it would be in George's best interest to move to Bath then we are not. Any one know what hat Mike Ford was wearing at the time of the supposed conversation.

On the replacement FH front, Personally I'd quite like to see Oxford Uni star Matt Janney come to WR, if only to make a supporter of his magical lady friend Ms Emma Watson
Never mind the ball, get on with the game!!

If Tigers have signed Burns when are they going to tell us, or do they think they will be deafened by the cries of no you stupid fools from the majority of Tiger fans.

I know that many of us feel that the standard of reporting on rugby on Sky's website has gone down markedly, however, they have said in an article about Flood's omission from the EPS squad that the deal for Burns is done and he will be a Tigers player next term: http://www1.skysports.com/rugby-union/n ... -to-franceNoddy555 wrote:If Tigers have signed Burns when are they going to tell us, or do they think they will be deafened by the cries of no you stupid fools from the majority of Tiger fans.

Same time as they normally announce new signings, I would imagine - in the summer.Noddy555 wrote:If Tigers have signed Burns when are they going to tell us, or do they think they will be deafened by the cries of no you stupid fools from the majority of Tiger fans.
Still claiming to speak for the majority of fans, when writing off the man who is likely to be first choice fly half for the club before he's even played a game for Tigers - I'm glad the majority of fans aren't like you, no one would want to sign for Tigers.

I am sure the majority of Tigers fans would welcome Freddie Burns.
2 Top No 10's is a necessity nowadays same as duplication of props, centres and virtually everywhere else
Especially as we are losing Flood and possibly Lamb.

Fixed that for you Noddy - seems to be some doubt as to your ability to speak for the Majority of Tigers fans (as there was the last time you wrote something similar)
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

What does Slancaster know about Burns' destiny?
"I wouldn't say I'm worried about Freddie because we can all see his talent," the coach commented, "and all players go through a dip in form at some time or other." But Lancaster also acknowledged that Burns currently finds himself in a difficult place when he added: "What's gone on off the field has clearly affected his performances on it, and he needs to put it to bed."

From a Rotherham fan on another forum:
Laurence Pearce will be in the England squad this time next year, Roth have produced players like sam dickinson (Northampton), robin copeland (Cardiff), semisi taulava (worcester), Sean dougall (munster) etc in the past year or so and Pearce is better than them all. If you beat London Irish to him you have a super star. He was at nottingham for a short period of time and has spent most of his time at hull rugby league and rotherham where we have crafted him. He is a beast, 20+ stone, very quick and great hands.

with Waldrom off to Exeter then Pierce seems to be a good value for money signing, if he csn bring 3/4 of the impact Dickinson has brought saints. He looks very raw but a very talented player.

On Laurence Pearce player profile on the Rotherham site:

Agreed. If rumours are true about Pearce's potential. Tank has been great for us, but it could turn out to be a tidy bit of business.
