The academy 10 and captain from last season Olly Bryant pulled out of the JP Morgan 7s with an injury. Don't think he's played so far this season. Williams needs game time anyway.

that's true but if Williams gets injured we're having to shift Mele there and play Harrison until the England boys are back.sam16111986 wrote:The academy 10 and captain from last season Olly Bryant pulled out of the JP Morgan 7s with an injury. Noticed the fireworks that got canned last Sat are being done tonight. Let's hope there are fireworks on the pitch aswell.

Ospreys under strength. A light sprinkling of experience, but mostly youngsters. We SHOULD have the beating of them. But who knows after the last few weeks.
Re: Tigers vs. Ospreys (Friday Night Lights)
We do have a bit of experience in there so hope the established players can inspire our younger element, looking forward to seeing the centre pairing, hope we can win.

The rearranged Fireworks + drizzle = Damp Squib!
And talking of that please do not let Louis Deacon on the pitch even as waterboy as he is bound to be the demotivating factor.
Good Luck Tigers !!!!

Big screen in the corner tonight........great view from the terrace....good ol' SKY
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

Why no yellow for the high tackle on Sam Harrison?
Or for persistent infringements.

Absolutely with Bill W....top notch stuff. Young guns give big hope for the future.
And after all the injuries are repaired and the England guys back, we will be unbeatable !!!!
Off to the pub to celebrate!

In the end a good win and a well deserved MOTM for Thacker.
The forwards worked very hard and subdued a lively Ospreys pack, just need a little more control and teamwork.
The backs looked fine at times but were playing the wrong part of the field too often.
I find Owen Williams infuriating at times, he misses easy kicks and then nails the difficult ones, try some clever chip but then drops a simple pass. Lies deep but does not use his kicking game. Can't help but think he needs an experienced inside centre to guide him.

Thoroughly agree - he seems to want to play an attacking game from deep, which is silly. Tonight's centres looked good but Williams did make life difficult for them and they always ended up trying to get back to a gainline that was 15 metres or so ahead of them by the time they received the ball.drc_007 wrote:I find Owen Williams infuriating at times, he misses easy kicks and then nails the difficult ones, try some clever chip but then drops a simple pass. For when the One Great Scorer comes to write against your name,
He marks - not that you won or lost - but how you played the Game."

Very happy with that team performance. Nice to be on the right end of an LV Cup thumping!
