Having said that we need somebody of experience to replace Toby, tonight I have witnessed the birth of the next Welsh No. 10 in his debut for Cardiff Blues against Glasgow Warriors. He is 19yrs old and his name is Rhys, sorry I'm having a senior moment and have forgotten his surname but he scored a try, converted a long distance penalty kick and helped hugely in the assist of another try and was rightly awarded man of the match. Perhaps he should enter the frame too.

Rhys Patchell, he actually 20, and is indeed a good player, but we already have a young Welsh 10. If we were replacing either of our other 2 10s I would totally agree with you, but in order to replace Flood we need someone with class and experience, Patchell probably has the first but definitely lacks the 2nd.

Dont forget that was just 2 rabo teams, Glasgow are rubbish, I turned it off, maybe i missed something but rabo standard is not good enough for us!

Having watched the young Cardiff Blues player Rhys Patchell for a second time, I'm even more impressed. Not only for the fact that he banged over a monster kick measuring all of 62 yes 62 metres, but then he went on to give the best
defensive rugby play I have ever seen from a twenty year old, notwithstanding the fact that Glasgow were poor opposition.

Pratchell good defensive display? He missed several tackles Flood would have made all day as Cardiff repeatedly allowed a toothless Glasgow attack over the gain line. He's a decent prospect and a good kicker but do we really need that when we already have similar in Williams.

But Slade again is another young one, or do we now revert to the maxim if your good enough you're old enough?

All are good at this level, but are they good enough?
In my opinion thare are not many around who could replace Flood and make us better.
Dan Carter could, Sexton, everything else is a gamble!
Personally I would try everything to keep Flood and failing that I would be interested to see how Bowden responds to the opportunity that may arise.

I'm sorry to say that I agree. He has even learned how to tackle other lumps than buses.

If he has really forsaken ladyboys and overblown media 'beauties' and he can continue to recapture his skill/speed, he will be the finished article shortly.

If Goodey gives up pies for French treats perhaps Wasps will want him back.
