[quote="chinnjamie"]James O'Connor would be ideal.

Promote Williams and have Lamb as second choice. If Bowden stays then he is a good third choice, especially as Mele can kick the goals from SH. Mele can also play 10 and Steele has always looked good at SH when I've seen him so I don't any new signings would be needed in the half-backs. Spend the money from Floody's salary on keeping Matera long-term and new contracts for the likes of Slater, Allen, Thompstone etc. who are all out of contract!
Hopefully Floody will stay, I agree that Tigers couldn't have done any more to keep him and if he goes it will be due to Lancaster. He is the best all round 10 in England and will be for at least another year until Farrel and Burns can develop their weaknesses.

I still believe Floody is the best 10 we have in England and if he goes it will be a real shame for both Tigers and England.
If Flood were to leave then Freddie Burns would be my number 1 target. Both Burns and Trinder are apparently out of contract come the end of the year and if players like Flood, TTT, Bowden, Hamilton etc do leave at the end of the season then there should easily be room to go after these two players. YBY and Burns could make a very exciting half back combination for both club and country. I've always thought Manu might settle into the 12 shirt long term and he and Trinder in the midfield could be exceptional.

I think Tommy Bell is out of contract with Wasps this summer. Sign him up as a 10/15 with a good running game. Lamb as backup and Williams starting.
I think we need three 10s in the squad and those three would cover the bases and cover them cheaply. That would leave us funds to either keep Bowden or bring in another 12 as well as spend a bit on the pack.

No, you dare not! Get back in the corner.leic wrote:Dare I say Danny Cipriani?!!!
According to the Beeb here, the club is not concerned nothing has yet been said about Toby re-signing. Quote from Simon Cohen, "I'm relaxed because we trust Toby enough to talk to us when the time is right. We will do everything we can to persuade him to stay, but we are not pushing him. When the time is right and he feels in a settled place then he will come and talk to us. Hopefully that will result in him staying."
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

Having seen Williams play a couple of times last season, I would like to see more of him. Very confident for a young man.
Flood should think twice about going to Toulon. Having watched them a couple of times this season, they may have some great players, but they don't always gel as a team. Oyannax beat them.

I think Flood will be waiting until after the six nations to see where he stands with England and Lancaster. If he's not getting a look in then theres not much holding him here in England when he can go to France and earn a good chunk of money whilst playing in a good league. If he does go he's been a fantastic player for tigers but I would not be suprised to see him stay at all.
If he does go then look no further than Williams as you have a ready made replacement who can learn from Floody for the next year and develop so much
