Another possibility is fly to Nimes from Luton. Bus/taxi to town centre station (about 8km), and train to Montpellier (about 30 minutes). Tram to near ground.(20 minutes).
I could agree with you...but then we'd both be wrong.

The Mercury have the game being played in Geneva.

You may need to change your travel arrangements.

Hi Johns, that article relates to Tiger's pre-season friendly against Montpellier in a couple of weeks, as opposed to the HC cup game in december.

confusing I know, and spooky that we got drawn in the HC against 2 sides that we have organised PSF's against :smt023
Never mind the ball, get on with the game!!

Many thanks for all the advice, we have somewhat reluctantly taken the Gatwick option, to save the hassle we are staying overnight on Friday at Gatwick.

Looking forward to odd drop of vin rouge or two!

Just to bring everyone up to date with The Away Supporters Club arrangements. We will be leaving Leicester on the Saturday morning in time to get the 6.50am Eurostar from to Lille, after a short break we will travel via TGV to Montpellier arriving at about 5.00pm. Unfortunately French rail do not take or confirm bookings prior to 90 days before departure (16th Sept) so there maybe slight changes in timings. After two nights B/B in a central hotel we leave at lunchtime on the Monday arriving back in at the Tigers ground around 11.00pm.
The cost, should not be more than £265.00 (hopefully less) per person but this will be confirmed after Sept 16th.

Hi,
I have contacted John Griffiths offering my services but as of yet I have not heard back.
I have a 150 seater plane on stand by flying direct to Montpellier from East Mids. Departing 6.30am on the day of the game, landing 9.30am local time. There will be a short transfer to Montpellier Centre for a few hours leisure time and then onto the stadium. The return will be later on the sunday evening.
I was hoping to run the trip in association with the travel club but if this is not possible I will still run the trip independantly if there is enough interest. Flights are ATOL protected.
The charter company I use have had quotes from many airlines and the best price I can offer is £298 pp. Costs include flight, transfers and all taxes.
You can fly Easyjet Gatwick to Montpellier for £230 but there is the travel to London plus 2 nights in a hotel plus local transfers. Also £230 will increase quite quickly once more bookings are taken.

You should search for rent a car prices.
If you can manage to be four or five for only one car, it could be cheaper than taking the train.
Supporting Montpellier is a little bit like being god......but much better!!!

If you do book a car, make sure that you get the extra insurance that they always try and sting you for (can't remember the correct name for it) with an independent company in the UK rather than buy it when you get there. It's a lot cheaper.
