LIONS V BRUMBIES
According to Stuart Barnes, Ben Youngs responsable for Brumbies first try. He stated it three times, all because Bens box kick from his own try line did not find touch. This was even though the kick was from the other side of the field, from where the try was scored and numurous defenders fell of simple tackles. Then again he is the only Tigers starter
Re: LIONS V BRUMBIES
Ben Youngs has made mistakes but it isn't his fault, he is having to carry the backline at the moment, he is getting rubbish ball every time and Hogg & 36 aren't giving him options, the lions also need Hibbard and Parling on too save the lineout at the moment

Re: LIONS V BRUMBIES
O'Brian and Gray look like the only 2 forwards who are interested
Re: LIONS V BRUMBIES
The set piece has been awful and 36 is getting cut down every time, Hogg needs to start missing him out and going straight to Barritt or the wingers
Re: LIONS V BRUMBIES
100% agreed, O'Brian is playing his socks off at the momentmightymouse wrote:O'Brian and Gray look like the only 2 forwards who are interested

Re: LIONS V BRUMBIES
well they keep insisting play 10 with a chap who hasn't played there since high school - and it does help when you play behind a pack goin forwards rather than backwards!!!
Re: LIONS V BRUMBIES
This is why Farrell snr did not want Toby there, Hogg makes Farrell look goodkpj tiger wrote:Never ever thought i would say this but the lions back line looks better with farrell on

Re: LIONS V BRUMBIES
a tale of awful squad seletion
how can you win match like this with the likes of
Best
Stevens
Barritt
wade
Evans
williams
Hogg(at10)
and then leaving the bench far too late
Bad management I'm afraid
Scrummagers like - Murray and Ford left behind - Quality locks like Launchbury and Hamilton left behind and then calling for Williams and wade rather than Trimble or Visser - Madness

Re: LIONS V BRUMBIES
That's what you get if you play a FB at FH, a mediocre centre, a novice centre, a novice winger, a retired winger and a thoroughly mediocre front 5 for a Lions game. All with no time to prepare properly.
The buck stops with Gatland. Poor initial choices and incomprehensible call-ups.
Feel sorry for players Like Ben Youngs and Sean O'Brien who've had no real opportunity to make their test case. And Flood, Biggar, Hook who are unsurprisingly far better fly-halves than a full back.
Kearney for 15 with Halfpenny and North on the wings?

Got to agree with that last post, this is'nt a time to be picking a side like the one that played today.
Poor squad selection for the midweek side much more depth and experience needed.
I hope the test side can put things right on Saturday!!

Re: LIONS V BRUMBIES
Looks like both Best and Hibberd have played Tom Youngs into the Test side though
Leicester: Home to Premiership Rugby, First Class Cricket (we;;, sort of) and Third Division Football
