Thanks to Jw we won world cup, no thanks to Jw that we lost semi to Toulon. Think guscott ( not a fly half) also won us something with a drop goal, hope you dont want to remove that option from the game, its a very valuable weapon especially as a game gets very tight in 79th min.
No one wants to remove the drop-goal as a weapon, but - as mentioned - anyone can take a drop-goal, it doesn't have to be the FH (scrum-halves, centres and fullacks have their fair share) and if it is going to be the FH then Flood can take them.
Larkham wasn't exactly known for dropping goals, and if that's how you rate a FH then you wouldn't have picked him. But the one that he did attempt in his international career was the extra-time winner in the WC semi-final.
Like Larkham, Flood CAN drop goals. It's just not the preferred option. And that's the case for the vast majority of FHs. Renowned kicking FH Owen Farrell has only dropped one goal in 67 Premiership and European games. Does it sound like the drop-goal is such a vital skill?
I have just watched the latest Lions game in Melbourne.
Their coaches have had a significant effect on young Fazlett as he played
better than I have ever seen him. Flatter and more adventurous.
Great line kicking too. If he keeps that up, Toby won't play for England again.
Both Tom Croft and Ben Youngs were excellent when they came on and combined
well to score an excellent try off the end of a lineout.
Manu had a decent enough game but played within himself.
Would like to have seen Foden on if only as a replacement.

Foden?! Have I missed something?
Think he means they could of called him up instead of Barret
