Interesting to read that negotiations on a new contract were not completed and that MOC is free to leave at the end of the season. Like a number of supporters I thought he had signed a 2 year extension - obviously not if the article in today's Merc is true.
Tigers for the premiership and European Cup. Get behind the team and make some noise!!

It'll be a shame to see him go, a very underrated coach who has helped transform our game from a forward dominated game to one where we play a high tempo and offloading game. It will be interesting to see how he does in a head coaching role with one of the most talented squads in europe.

If we lose Matt O'Connor to Leinster we should appoint an interim head coach as the IRFU's record leads me to presume that Joe Schidmt will be available by the middle of next season.

Well well....a lot of people wished for this on this forum and now it's coming true. We will no doubt see how good or bad Matt O'C was when the next person pitches up !

If MOC goes then good luck to him a very good post to get.

We shall then see who has worn the trousers in the style of our play.

As for a replacement, kidnap Paddy from the Ashes......or any of Mauger/Gibson/Catt with Murphy assisting.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

My choice if MOC goes would be to ask John Wells to come back - fat chance, of course. He does have the best ever record as Tigers head coach - 100% first place - one full season in charge and position 1st! (pity we lost the final).

Interesting that Trevor Woodman has left Wasps today "to seek a new challenge".

If as rumoured, GM is to take on coaching role at the club (presumably as backs/skills coach) alongside Paul Burke, and with Richard Blaze maybe becoming forwards coach, could this be a slot he could fill linking the coaches and DoR?

Wellsy is extremely content living in Northumberland and working with deano... no chance of a split, and as they are both extremely loyal, reckon they will stay there until Stancaster gets sacked...!!!
