:smt011 You couldn't script it, could you? It amazes me he's still only 25 years old. It seems as if the jerk has been in the news forever.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

Obviously mis-heard.....when someone said 'tackle like a bus'.

At least when he wakes up after that marathon session and says "wow, I feel like I've been run over by a bus"......his 'mates' can say..."well, actually"........

Maybe he thought it was the England summer tour bus and was just trying to fight for his place on it....... :smt047

Wouldn't want him at Tigers....ever....the boy has big issues........on the bus off the bus......erractic and unreliable, wasting away what would have been a great talent all for the sake of celebrity it seems.

I'd done worse and felt better at his age.

Get well soon Danny. And get some better friends.

Maybe this is indicative of Sale's problems. Season not yet at an end and on the wrong end of 47-5 defeat at the weekend and the players go out and celebrate. Wouldn't be happy if I was a Sale fan and surprised Steve Diamond allowed it.

I'd just like to point out that 'on a night out' doesn't automatically mean drunk, and making fun of a young lad who's just been hit by a bus regardless of circumstance is an extremely callous thing to do.

You would think that a South London public schoolboy like Danny would know better than to practice his tackling on a bus! That other South London scholar, and great rival George Chuter certainly would.

Let's hope he is well.

Quite right CitizenSmiff.

I do of course wish him no ill, and hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Yes I hope so too. The idea of not being able to anticipate the whereabouts of the bus will provide a lifetime of teases from his mates, especially in training.

Tweets from Cipriani's team-mates suggest they were on a 16-venue pub crawl, known locally as the Otley Run.

He was dressed up as a munchkin and it was a squad night out in Wizard of Oz themed fancy dress.
