Legends shirt?

Post by tigerbrewer »

Am I being optimistic (or just old fashioned?) in hoping that the legends shirt was an unplanned preview of the new strip to launched soon??!!

I think optimistic. From rumours I've heard the new shirt will be similar to the 2002 heineken cup winning shirt. More green less stripes.

If that was the new shirt we'd be the easiest team in the prem to tackle and we'd never win a scrum ever again.

I'd also heard that it wasn't too far away from new design :smt002

I know this is probably a long shot, but apart from being on sale last Sunday at the Legends match, does anyone know where the Legends shirts, both Tigers and Hambos, can be bought?

It might be worth starting at Hambo's website.

Thanks BJ - I went on Hambo's site first before posting on here as I thought that would be the most obvious place.

Based on the snippet of a photograph on the Shop page, the new shirt will be dark green with a single composite white, red and black hoop around the middle (a pattern possibly echoed also on the sleeves).

If so, I'm disappointed again already.

And let's face it, having had an all too brief return to the historic kit for the Legends Game, frankly anything else now will be a disappointment.

Have you tried dropping an email to the MHT? I'd have thought they should be able to give you a definite on whether the shirts are still available.

I understand that they sold out of both shirts on the day, but I expect that the player worn shirts will get auctioned at some point, possibly autographed.

I was on the stall selling the shirts last sunday. We sold out of both shirts and made about 8K on them which is great. As far as I'm aware they won't be back on sale again! But can certainly ask.
