If it is either Avignon or Nimes it will surely mean a big loss of gate
receipts as both are almost two hours drive from Toulon and I don't see the Toulon fans all travelling.

Looking at the flight times to both Nimes and Avignon from London airports, I may well give this trip a miss and use the wiziwig stream.

Train to marseille just booked. Had a look on SNCF website and should be fine for trains to either Nimes or Avignon should it not go ahead in Toulon. Now to sort hotel out.

I have just booked four flights from Gatwick to Nice leaving 1.25 on the Friday to Nice to then catch the TGV to Toulon at 6 pm
Returning from Nice at 5pm on the Monday back to Gatwick for 6.25
£550 for the four flights
Three nights in the Holiday Inn in the centre of Toulon for £42 per night per room inc breakfast
Including the TGV total cost £275 per person which I thought was okay and we get three nights inToulon
C'mon the Tigers!!!! :smt026

I have been searching the forum of the "Fadas" (the "crazy boys" in Provençal) and they are quite cautious about the state of pubic transport in the South of France... Two weeks ago a TGV fast train was attacked on the tracks by a gang, whom, as it turned out, were just a rap band improvising a video to promote their "music".

More seriously as always in France the danger of a strike is never to be totally ignored. (I don't see a motive for a strike at present but most of the time they don't need one.) :smt011

So a hotel within Toulon seem to be the best solution. Of course you can opt for La Seyne, which is near to the airport. Inside Toulon I was advised that the Grand Hôtel Dauphiné hosts most of the anglophone visitors.

I'll let you know if I have other recommandations. Have a great one.

BTW : Toulon was humiliated, bashed, squashed and mashed by "doomed for relegation" Union Bordeaux Bègles this weekend : 41 to ZERO ! :smt044

Oooooh I miss the Heineken Cup ! :smt009

LTASC trip fully booked with a reserve list. We could have taken more than the one hundred people I originally allowed for but when I went back to Eurostar for extra seats on the train the price went up massively and distorted the average price beyond all reason so we had to stop at just two coaches going to St Pancras.

There's no news on here nor is there any on the Toulon site. I'd be surpried if they were available before the end of this month.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

Thanks BJ, was hoping it would be soon as we need to sort out travel and accomodation, obviously dont want to sort these out unless we know we can get tickets!

If you keep an eye on this site and don't hang about when ticket availability is announced, you shouldn't have too much trouble getting them. I recommend sorting out your travel and accommodation soonest as the prices aren't going to be dropping.

Can't see Tigers using all their ticket allocation(25% of gate) due to Day/time of game! Our group although in Marseille won't be able to get to game so there's 6 tickets, we booked up early but have been hit by the stupid ERC decision to play this match so late on a Sunday evening :smt013
