According to wiki he helped Surrey win the County Championship beating Leicestershire. He's had a trial with Quine and played for them in the A League also had a spell with Bedford. Is still only 21. Little bit of squad cover and maybe a project.

Bristow was a member of Bedfords academy a couple of years ago. Able to play both sides of the scrum seemed a decent enough player.

Strange how the news of prop signings has dropped off.
Rumours we were on the brink of signing Sebastien Taofifenua, and then this much fabled Romanian project prop (widely assumed to be Constantin Pristavita). Yet to hear anything more on either.
Reality, we've lost Castro, Brookes and Harris, with just one replacement so far, plus now possibly this guy Bristow (effectively replacing Harris I suspect). Still to bring in one more just to maintain continuity of depth. One of Taofifenua or Pristavita? Or promote from within, Pasquali or Brugnara?
Ayerza, Boris, Schuster.
Cole, Mulipola, Balmain.

Hooker and second row are well covered.

Not convinced there'll be any further back row signings.
Croft, Mafi, Wells.
Salvi, Gibson.
Crane, Waldrom, Noone.

Half backs and wings are well enough stocked.

Still room/need for another centre/fullback I think.
Allen, Bowden.
Tuilagi, Smith.
Tait. (Hamilton/Morris).

I'd presume the rumours of the other props arriving was conditional on us missing out on Schuster. They were probably alternatives. Six experienced options in the squad plus four age grade international props should be enough.

I think Brett Deacon will remain with us for next season. He's currently injured and rehabing at WR so I'd imagine he'll stay on for one more year.

Kind of heard about this from a warriors fan a couple of months ago. Apparently he was at their game against Welsh at Oxford and this lad's dad was in front of him. Told him he was bound for a top 4 club next season, alluding to it being us.

Tom Bristow has signed. Confirmation here.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

Good signing, though I suspect he will disappear into the Tigers machine for a season or two and people will moan we don't give the youngsters a chance. Looking at the young front row players Cockers mentions the future looks bright.
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.

I suspect we'll see him more than we think. International call ups and injuries will put him in the side, rather than simply disappearing into the machinary of Tigers.

Found this video of him : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbZlo5hhqGM

Looks like a good raw talent for Geordie to nurture but experienced enough to backup Tait of the bat, that is unless we have just brought him in for the JP Morgan 7's

Wiki has him at 6 foot 3 and 14 and a half stone. Not the biggest guy but he'll bulk up a touch at a pro outfit. His height is a bonus under the high ball. Could be an interesting option.

Hopefully we'll have a marginally stronger 7s side for this years tournament.

Would be a good signing if true, while we do probably have enough depth at full back it would be nice to have someone who can cover a lot of positions. I don't think the Wikipedia page is entirely correct as it looks like he has the physique to play at centre aswell as full back and wing. He has 11 caps for the US team aswell and earned multiple honours in America.

Sign him up Cockers! The second video is Murphyesque.
