GT1 - agree entirely. Tait has done enough to earn a new contract.

Editting original posts to make sure it's up to date with this now.

We got him cheap two years ago - think the price may have gone up a bit by now !

I'd be very surprised if the two parties don't sort something out - especially if Geordie calls it a day.... :smt010

Not bothered by that. Ok for them having signed these two superstars but they'll have no money to sign players in positions they so clearly need much more.

IIRC they've signed 2 Kiwis as well. Think it as mentioned on PlanetRugby.Com

A bit unfair.........their pack were mighty...once ----if I recall..

Yes it was against the Championship standard Waspies eight.

Hartley and Lawes were simply magnificent.

Simon Cohen said on rugbyhour earlier today that Matt Tait "must have had a bump on the head as he has forgotten that he has signed a 2 year contract with us".

If that is 2 years from when he originally signed then it will be expiring at the end of this season but I got the impression by the way he answered that he had signed another 2 year contract. :smt017

That is a weird one... perhaps there were some crossed wires in the interview about earning/having earned one - or maybe his comments related to wanting to produce a performance to justify a new contract?

Bill has taken a short break and will be back shortly.

Please could we keep this thread on topic?

Thanks
