Understand that, but will he really do that at Toulon? Similar situation to Tigers.
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

Let us not forget that the bigger pay cheque will have a considerable something to with it too

Castro has been saying on Twitter that he wants to leave as he wants more game time. Hes has also allegedly started following Toulon on Twitter and he said publicly to his girlfriend on Twitter that a learn French app would be very useful to them in the next few months... :smt003

Be sad to see such a legend leave, but I think he will only become less of a force in the next few years. Good time for him to leave, especially if we get a tidy transfer fee out of it.

Think we should open the door for Balmain, who looks like he will become a mighty fine prop. Perhaps we should bring in a cheap, but reliable back up as well though. Bring back White!

Someone like Boris from a smaller French club who love to scrum would be just right for this situation.

He isn't the presence he was when he agreed terms 2 years ago. Be a shame to see him go but if we can make a small fortune out of somebody elses greed then we should take it.

I don't see how playing more is guaranteed with Toulon's front row options.

That, sadly, appears to be that. I will be very sad to see him go he is, and will always be a true TIGER.

I agree with you there but I think it is more a case of being "first-choice" and I presume he has been guaranteed that at Toulon, I still think the money and contract length are important!!

Agree with Kornboy that a Boris-esque signing is just what is needed, let Balmain develop but with someone else in reserve for when the others are away.

If playing is the real reason the it would only make sense if Hayman were moving on.
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

I too will be sad to see a great Tiger like Castro leave. However, Toulon appears to be something of am elephants graveyard - Castro's likely TH rival Carl Hayman is hardly the force he was.
Also, to be brutally honest if we had a free pick, for example, et the moment of getting a great 7 like Kvesic or keeping Castro with Cole and Balmain on the rise who would you choose?

Loved Cockers response to daggers Toulon Castro link.
Something along the lines of, we'll be staying at Castro's house, tongue in cheek of course.

Cockers said that talks were taking place over Castro who has been offed a 3 year deal at Toulon. However he has another year on his contract here and that Tigers will keep him to his contract if the deal doesn't add up and a suitable replacement available.

I guess the sticking point will be the replacement as I'm sure Toulon will come up with the cash.
A couple of years ago I would have said Castro was the best tight head in world rugby, now he's behind Cole at Tigers but I'm not so sure he's that far off his peak which says a lot about how good Cole is.
