Delighted to hear this news. I must admit I had worries about Steve moving to France but I think that this proves just how strong Tigers are in the player development stakes. Just hope that Parling and Ford recognise this or, more importantly, their agents!

Brilliant news, I thought Mafi would go but he clearly realises the player he has become at Tigers- if he was English he would have been in the 6 shirt for the summer tour and AIs.

Well done to the lads for signing on and Cockers/ Cohen for making them :smt023 :smt023

Now it's just a case of Parling and Ford signing on the dotted line!!

Steeeeeve - now Cockers CAN build the side around him! Absolutely :censored: brilliant, and with Salvi signing - what a Xmas present!
I can live with Ford leaving to be honest after these two utterly vital players have re-signed, since 10 can't play with these boys doing their jobs.

Absolutely fantastic news. As per many other comments I thought Steeeeeeve was heading out the door for a better financial offer overseas, good on him for staying put. Salvi is a lynchpin for us, had far fewer doubts that he'd stay.

I reckon Parling and Ford will be waiting until 1st Jan to see what other offers get slapped on the table at least, and I can't really blame them for keeping options open, but would love both of them to stay.

Brilliant news, just hope we can keep hold of Geoff, if Fordy goes then its a poor decision on his part, he has gone backwards this year in his development and performances, if he goes then no great loss, if we sign Mele then he would be an excellent back up for floody and youngs.

Excellent, perfect news to brighten up a gloomy Saturday. I wonder what implications it has for the cap as both must be on substantially improved deals.

Has anyone seen how long their contracts have been extended?

I would assume they and Tigers have :smt002 :smt002

I would assume 2 or 3 years, hopefully the latter.

Great news, fantastic loyalty shown. I am confident that Parling will show the same but I am not convinced that Ford will.

Great news. I thought Steve was gone, excellent to see his commitment. Here is a player who is willing to wait and learn from an international. George, I hope you are taking notes here! :smt003

Great stuff - both so valuable to Tigers in terms of their performance, attitude and availability (ie International commitments)!

Mafi is a real bonus, the way he contributed to tries 3 and 4 against the Ospreys was fantastic - hands of a surgeon!!
