London Irish vs Tigers

Re: London Irish vs Tigers
the scoreline is very flattering. The game should have been dead at 40 mins but yet again the Tigers take the foot off the gas and let the opponents back in. However, 5 points it is and rightly needed going into the 6Ns.

The scoreline is what it is, it says who the winner is and by how much.Try bonus points in filthy conditions away from home, forwards and backs sharing the spoils, excellent result Tigers.

As yet all I've seen is the reports - not too complimentary about Tigers. Can't wait for the match to be available on Premiership Rugby TV Full Match Reports in the next few hours so I can make an informed comment.
What I would point out is, however, the simple fact that of the 5 games today and yesterday Tigers have scored more tries than the other nine teams combined!

............Hmmmmm! I don't know about one of the trys he scored.......but in the second he appeared to rob Mr Morris of a hat trick..........?Bill W (2) wrote:Ah! A very begrudging job, though not in the Chris Hewett/Stephen Jones class.
(edit)
The Telegraph was neutral and factual.

I doubt it. Morris was tackled before he got too the ball, only just though, and it was not dangerous. It was a cynical foul so a penalty try and yellow card is probably about right.

Re: London Irish vs Tigers
Morris is looking a good signing. Scores tries and brilliant under a high ball.
Re: London Irish vs Tigers
To get a TB in those conditions yesterday is quite some achievement! A good day to be a Tiger this morning! Here's to a winning 2013!!

Flood was in imperious form, pack performed well despite conceding 11 lbs per man apparently. Crane had his best match since coming back from injury.

Re: London Irish vs Tigers
Have just watched it and completely agree. Salvi was also superb and Thompstone/ Morris looks like a very promising wing combination. A better side would have put the game beyond Tigers after half-time so I can see why the reports are grudging but a 5 point win without conceding a try cannot be sniffed at, especially in such poor conditions.drc_007 wrote:The match is now available here

Weak points were the lineout, YBY's passing and the sleepy period after half-time. Still not an accomplished performance but things look to be improving- next week will certainly be a test.
Hopefully Cockers signs up Morris!! Tait just about ahead of GM for me, despite Smurph having a good game. Tait only missed the game due to a niggle.

I have just watched the game which, considering the conditions, wasn't at all bad.
Morris had a very good game and the ploy to use his speed through the
centre, at the end worked a treat.
The pack also played very well, especially good to see some decent driving mauls.
A big plus for me was Crane. I admit to being his harshest critic recently
but in this game he was a lot more like his old self. Keep it up JC.
