If he's as good as the last French no9 we had - Dupuy - this is great news.

Guess we have to expect either Croft or Mafi to stay.....will be very sorry to see Young go, think he is excellent.

Replacing Young according to the merc. Potential back-up at 10 if GF leaves too.

Sounds like another sensible piece of business to me - as the the "average foriegn import " - not sure if that is serious or a joke - but potentially an average foriegn import like

Dupuy, Kaiser, Tournaire, Castrogiovani, Rambeni, Tuilagis,Mafi, Goneva, Ayerza,Salvi, Howard, Gibson, Hamilton,Waldroum,Newby,Kronfeld et al

I'll take a few more average foriegn imports like them

If he does come it raises an interesting question about allocating the remainder of the salary cap.

With Mafi, Parling and Ford all up for contract renewal, who is the money best spent on?

In my opinion, Tigers should do everything they can to keep Parling and Mafi even if it means we don't get to keep hold of Ford. Mélé can cover 10 and we need depth in the second and back rows.

We could do with getting some experienced guys in too. Signing youngsters is a great policy but it has left us with a very young team to work with. With only Deacon and Murphy over 30.
