I'm not sure if I have the right to answer this as I don't think I'm a doom-monger but we were absolutely rubbish for the first 20 minutes!

No we weren't rubbish, but we weren't very good either, but Ospreys started at a hell of a pace and we were playing catch up. A game is not over in 20 minutes, it lasts 80 minutes and we wore them down. Ospreys didn't know what happened to them in those last 10 mins.

Exactly what was required, the whole team pulling together and producing the goods we all know this group are capable of. Onwards and upwards, early days yet,but no need to panic with the great team of coaches to pull us through.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

I think they need to start watching some rugby before commenting, I expect most of them have never even been to welford road!

Over due by any ones standards

I'll tell you what I say about that......more :censored: Jam than Hartleys!
Great first try, brilliant, though it took the team the best part of half an hour to get "ccoking". Back row still looks out of kilter though Mafi and Waldron good value.
Thank the lord for an intercept...Floody looked quick there and I don't believe the Waldron kick was intended to yield what it did. But Mafi was superb in setting it up. Cool hand Manu for the last one. I don't think he'll ever score two tries from such a short cumulative distance again.
Better.......but there are still mindless moments out there. It could so easiliy have fallen apart. I'm just glad it didn't.

Depends which part of the game you were watching, first 10 minutes Tigers were awful, the last 10 minutes superb (got the rub of the green though).
For the rest in the middle it was pretty much a stalemate, but again with some stupid penalties from Tigers.

Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.
Re: What do you say about that then doom mongers?
The doomongers ought to have realised by now that people that matter pay no attention to what they say (which is mostly drivel).
Well done Tigers.

I saw some heads up rugby today. Playing the game as it presented itself. Positional variations, breaks being tried, some awful stuff too and those awful funeral shirts they were wearing.
Great game and no fingernails left.

How true.

I could agree with you...but then we'd both be wrong.

Absolutely. But if everyone were that wise then this forum would have no posts!

Re: What do you say about that then doom mongers?
Even though I started the "I fear for Cockers" thread elsewhere, and I am delighted by the result today, there were still huge elements of luck (which may or may not have been earned), and we scored a few points from around halfway, not necessarily through our own good play.
However, what I did like was the way the team went for it near the end, when it could still have been dicey.
Crane should still not be captain/playing. That penalty he gave away near the end was completely needless and the result could have been different.
I'll have to watch the recording to see if my at the match views are borne out!
