Organisation on Saturday not very impressive
Convincing performance by the team on Saturday, less good by the management of Welford Road.
No team sheets, no names on shirts, or even numbers -so difficult to know who was on the field. As nothing has been done about the sound system in the Crumbie, was impossible to hear announcements. Just putting the team or even the scorers on the board would have helped.
Though as apparently according to the notice board we are playing London Welsh next Saturday perhaps would not have helped much.

All the stewards in our area had a mittful of team sheets and were gladly handing them out to anyone who asked.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

Agree no team sheets around on Saturday that we could see - perhaps BJ's Steward had them all!
No need to improve the PA in the Crumbie as a recent poll the maority are happy not to be able to hear particulalry at half-time.

There are many of us in the Cat Stand who would prefer to have the Crumbie sound system in there.... it would surely save us from the inane pre-match and half time drivel. Thus enabling us to socialise with those around us.... oh, sorry my mistake, who on earth would want to talk to their neighbour!Jeremy Anderson wrote:Agree no team sheets around on Saturday that we could see - perhaps BJ's Steward had them all!

With regard to the shirts - the team warmed up in away shirts with letters on the back. The monsoon conditions cut short the training and I suspect prompted a change into dry kit before kick-off.

Sound system in the CAT stand is fine, it is the volume levels that are ridiculous. You can barely talk to someone next to you without getting to the point of shouting! And all seemingly to 'create an atmosphere'!fentiger wrote:There are many of us in the Cat Stand who would prefer to have the Crumbie sound system in there.... it would surely save us from the inane pre-match and half time drivel. And why away strip, don't we have a home strip? Two teams with broadly the same coloured strip was irritating, even with the new wavy tiger stripe kit.

with the new players it would be nice to know exactly who was who. It was a process of elimination but tricky when all the replacements came on. One of the main purposes of going to pre season games is to see who the new guys are and make some kind of judgement on them and the guys who come up from the accademy.

I found it relatively straight forward to follow those on the pitch as most Tigers players are familiar - even the new faces have been in the news often enough to be recognised by now. Harry Wells was the only face I didn't recognise & as he replaced Andrew - who wore a scrum cap - even that was okay.mightymouse wrote:with the new players it would be nice to know exactly who was who. ( To be fair - I did have a team sheet! Also, watching the players warm up with letters on helped to identify Andrew, for example. )
I'm sure the marketing guys dictated which strip was to be worn. It was easy to tell which team was the Tigers though - they were the ones going forward !Ads677 wrote:And why away strip, don't we have a home strip?
