I really do think Stuart Barnes is the best pundit - he actually talks about rugby whereas too many of the others others - especially Oz - just do show business.

And Ben Kay could bore for Britain, whilst not saying very much of anything at all relevant.

Mind you what do I know because my other favourite comes last - Brian Moore.

At least my pet hate scores badly - Jerry Guscott.

That may be but what he says is often Bull poop! Barnes is too far removed from the game and Sky need a fresh face!

How anyone could even consider "Stuart Barnes" as even a person worth listening too at all is beyond me, The mans a complete fool who is just a waste of space as for his "nodding dog" of a partner not worth the time to even talk about.

With the recent retirements from the game I'm sure sky tv could find one or two that have a better take on the modern game far better than the Blob & nodding dog.

As for the best rugby pundits I think the ESPN group are by far the best adding just the right balance of humour & knowledge to the programmes events.

For me it's between Dean Ryan, Will Greenwood and Scott Quinnell. Love listening to them talk about rugby.

Although I've never joined the Stuart Barnes witch hunt, I would definitely go with Austin as the top man. He's not pompous, and doesn't take himself too seriously, yet has immense knowledge of the game.

He injects humour and insight.
