Tom Croft

Post by Granby »

Worrying thread on the unoffy, discussing rumour that Crofty may not play again. Of course, all rumour at present, hopefully he will be around Welford Road this pm to disprove it.

Indeed. If anyone spots him at the match today, please report back.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

That is a shock. If true I hope Tom can pull through.

That would be a tragedy for him, hope it's a full recovery.

Heard the same on another forum: apparently has metal cage around his head as 2 neck vertebrae are going in opposite directions, and cracks in the 3 directly underneath.
Hope is he recovers as Dan Lydiate did, coming back from a broken neck to on of the best 6s in the last 6N.

Dreadful news for him if true but if his injury is as extensive as suggested then it is highly doubtful we will see him playing again. Heres hoping he has a full recovery.

If this is true I'm surprised the club has not made a comment.

Sure he had his neck in a brace but there was certainly no metal cage around his head. Whilst I sure hope the rumours are not true, they are just that - rumours!!

Hopefully inaccurate on both players. Obviously wrong about Woods as he was a replacement!!
Good luck Tom

I believe it may be Tom Wood they are referring to rather than Ben Woods
