Alex's farewell bash on 15 May is postponed

Post by BJ. »

We've just received an email from Victoria Noah saying the gig has been put off to an as yet undecided later date to avoid any potential clash with pre-final preparations.

So that's £45 down the drain for the hotel I'd pre-booked. :smt013 :smt013 :smt013

But BJ's assertion is totally without documented foundation.

It is therefore nothing more than an unsubstantiated rumour!

Akin to his earluer assertion that Manu was going to Japan!!

Oh dear, oh dear. It's sad to see you're still not letting the facts get in the way of having a cheap dig.

I'll type this slowly so hopefully you'll be able to keep up.

1. I said we have received an email regarding the postponement of the function whereas, in the other thread you allude to, there was no initial mention of any proof - all it said was Calum Green is apparently going to Leeds. This email from Victoria Noah was sent to my wife's address. I could forward the message to anyone who is interested but I do not intend to divulge my wife's email address.

2. I did not say Manu was going to Japan. I said that, at the time, I had provided as much proof for his 'departure' as the OP on the other thread had regarding Calum Green going to Leeds.

As Rizzo pointed out, "Gossip and hearsay are all very well, but can escalate into wilder rumours which can cause problems, and thus I will ask for the benefit of newer users, if you have some information, please post it with official links, evidence etc. It makes everyone's life simpler and doesn't allow gossip to proliferate."

I assume Victoria has sent out the email to all those who had contacted her by the same method. Going by the time it arrived here, I would think it was too late in the day for the article here to be amended.

Sorry old boy but we're not going to the final this time. Also, apologies for not replying to your email - it got pushed to the back and I must admit I forgot about it. :emb:
