Todays game v Quins (A)
Is this a game too far?? We seem to be making basic errors at every opportunity. What was Manu doing??
Floods kicking at restarts is poor
Home semi looking dodgy at this present moment!!

Play isn't going well at all, Tom Croft's injury really not looking good either.

You almost sound happy, despite the emoticons.WiggoTiger wrote:Is this a game too far?? We seem to be making basic errors at every opportunity. What was Manu doing??

It was Easter who scored the try, off the back of the scrum.WiggoTiger wrote:Being well beaten at the moment Robshaw try Evans convertion 23 - 10
There's a way to go in this match yet. Quins gifted a try by Flood's amazingly weak pass picked off by Monye. Manu coming back on now, point to prove.

Re: Todays game
A horror show since taking the lead. Dreadful tackling. Holes galore. But we can come back.
Re: Todays game
Though not if we keep leaking pens.

Re: Todays game
Penalty to Tigers, marched forwards 10 by Barnes following some Quins chopsing.
Flood gets it 26-23 Halftime.

Re: Todays game
I wasn't worried...
Great game so far. I think if we tighten up and D well, then we should win this. I'm nervous of the ambitious gameplan.
Hoping our bench will prove the difference. Mafi is a hero!

Re: Todays game
The long delay for Croft's injury seemed to take the wind* out of Quins sails.
*best phrase I could come up with without using 'momentum', which is one of the most over-used (and frequently incorrectly applied) terms in sport).

Re: Todays game
Manu binned for pulling the player back - fair enough.
In the build up to Steve Mafi's try at the end of the first half (similar position to Quins earlier) Barnes gives Tigers penalty advantage. Once Mafi has broken through to score I heard Barnes say "tackling (or taking) the man without the ball" - presumably explaining the reason for the penalty advantage.
Why no yellow card? Different circumstances but same outcome to Manu?
Tigers did well to drag 10 points back at the end there. I think we are mentally stronger in this despite the lapses earlier. Cockers will still be fuming about lapses and penalties, not much to be said about Tobuy's gaff though, no hiding there - just one of those things.
Crowd sounds like a Football game - Hurrah, Boo, Hurrah, Boo, Hurrah, Boo....so fickle
Reaffirmed my faith in English rugby after that Turgid affair in the NorthEast last night - Dewi Morris just now still not doing the heart rate any good though
