Looks interesting - where's that Norwich City fan when you need him.

Let's just hope there's a traditonal rugby shirt as well as the player style.

As usual the club are late in officially announcing the deal, despite us all know that Canterbury have had the deal for a couple of months.

Fran Cotton announced he was withdrawing from supplying rugby kit and concentrating on leisure wear.Do Canterbury do things other than players type kit?or do we have shirts/shorts from CCC and Cotton still filling the shop with polo shirts?

Got an e-mail from The Rugby Store who are also taking pre-orders but they are only selling one type priced at £79.99. If there isn't a replica version at a much cheaper price I'll think more than twice about buying one.

The replica (I'm assuming "Classic" means rugby jersey - and the silhouette on the Tigers' store website appears to attest this) is £55

From what i can glean from the Canterbury site:

Test - kit the player wear on game day
Pro - same design as pro but not the skin tight fit and i believe a different material
Classic - cotton with collar but no sponsor (this is a guess based on all the classic kits they supplier to clubs currently, none of which have a sponsor)

I suspect it will have the sponsor - if you were Caterpillar you'd be a little peeved if 1/3 of the shirts were brandless!

Here's Wasps' home & away "classic" shirt:

The only main difference, other than the traditional collar, is that the curved seam stripe just below the sponsor on most current Canterbury shirts isn't present on the classic, giving a cleaner look.

The worst thing is that now I know what the sides look like I am trying to imagine what the center will look like. Why can they not just release what the kit looks like now. Oh God I an starting to sound like a 5 year old having a hissy fit!

Dave J, can you delete this thread for me....if Mrs Flashman sees that my annual top may cost that much, then i may be in my old Goldstar top for next season... :smt002

That is quite steep..but if its as good as in my mind then i will have to have one...

Anyone thinking of pre ordering has two options.

(1) Order the £55 one from Tigers which will incur p&p as it's not over £60

or

(2) Order direct from Canterbury for £55.99 with free p&p on orders over £50.

Bit of a no brainer really if you want one.
