Have we got any ideas what it could or should be called?

Oh, yes we do! It has a lot to do with what they have got that is 'special' and what they will have won at the end of the season, but the censor bot would probably nail me for spelling out the the replacement of the 'p' and 't' with a 'c' and a 'k'

Seriously, if I understand the plans correctly, this will be an athletics stadium with one stand (capacity 3000) and an artificial pitch in the middle. It is currently home to two athletics clubs - Barnet & District AC and Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers and one football club - Kentish Town.

Then in the winter, they will assemble three temporary stands (the scaffold type ones to increase capacity to 10000) over the running track which will be dismantled each summer for the athletics season.

Some new 'home'. They will once again be tennants, just a different landlord.

Actually I think that it is very much a new home for them. Ultimately finding somewhere to build (affordably) within London was always going to be a challenge. In this case it is affordable, but unsurprisingly comes with constraints. The main issue being that it is on green belt land, so they have to allow it to be used as an amenity/sports area for the development to be permitted. If it was purely for their own use it would effectively be a commercial development and not permitted. However, by allowing ongoing use for the athletics it is okay (as I understand it). Although demountable stands may sound a bit iffy it's an easy way to achieve the desired capacity while maintaining the multi-purpose usage. I'd also add that it will probably be relatively easy for them to increase the capacity of the stands if the crowds increase. This is in itself not unlikely if the stadium is done well (can't be worse than Vicarage Road!) as they will a) have a permanent home they can justify more targetting marketing of the club in the local area and building better links with the community and can b) give people a much better matchday experience than they could possibly get at Vicarage Road. Personally I wouldn't underestimate the potential of a proper rugby club with a home in north London (i.e. not competing directly with Quins for fans).

But the problem with the 'Scaffold Stands' is that they have no facilities whatsoever - toilets or concessions - which then have to be provided on a temporary basis.

It is far from a pleasant experience and always comes across as scruffy. Quins have the scaffold stands at both ends of the stoop for anyone who has been there.
