That may explain some of the deals available on this season's shirt around the web. Lovell and others have been advertising it for around £20.

Mrs Beej bought some Canterbury rugby shirts when we were in NZ. Within 2-3 washes, the sleeves on all of them shrunk to the extent she cannot get her hands through the cuffs. Here's one household that won't be touching any new Tigers merchandise from Canterbury with a bargepole. Since the current Cotton Traders shirts are at a reduced price, I'm tempted to buy a few to see me through to the day I cash in my season ticket.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

There was a thread some time ago about this and it turned out that Cotton Traders were moving out of the team branded replica rugby shirt business altogether. It only accounts for 5% of their business and they want to focus on leisure wear. So it may not only be us who is changing shirt supplier depending on when contracts run down - ours runs down this year, other may be longer but will eventually run down too.

Does any manufacturer make top quality cotton rugby shirts anymore?

I own some Canterbury playing kit and it is alright, the Canterbury shorts I own are excellent. Don't know how that will translate into replica playing tops but I would advise careful reading of the washing instructions as a lot of the new materials used are to be washed in colder water otherwise it will shrink.

This is ooold news. I have spent more in the recent shop sale than i the previous 10 years . Unless a scarf is added to the new items I cannot think of anything I might buy.

or some clothes for 2 year old girls

or.... some mugs that arent £8-10.

That's strange - I've got a Natal Sharks one and a Wasps one both cotton which I've used to train in and both still fit well - the Sharks one has been through 4 seasons of this and has come out pretty well.

I must admit I'm a fan of canterbury stash so am a bit biased.

I agree - Cotton Traders current quality shirts are awful - you know the quality is :censored: when it asks you to allow for up to 15% shrinkage !!

My canterbury tops are excellent - hard wearing and they last...
Less is more....
