Could be a tricky week for the moaners....Ford plays, 12T plays, Harrison injured so nothing doing there....I guess the "Hawkins" thread will be busy :smt027

All depends on the result!!

Tbp win and it will be inspired selection.

Lose ans why did we release Forsyth to Nottingham??? Why did we pick bubbles who is well out of sorts??? etc etc

Do you honestly believe that Redpath at Gloucester has given 12Ts a guaranteed start at 12 and Cockerill wouldn't? 12T's is leaving because for 3 years he has been treated badly by Cockerill and O'Connor and was unable to get any assurance that this might change.
Can you please provide evidence of the fact that for 3 years Cockerill and O'Conner have treated Billy badly or is it your opinion? Yes and if you keep peddling the same party line often enough you might just get it accepted as fact. :smt003
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.

Goodness - some people are dense .If you have a very talented player , capped for the England Saxons on a regular basis , would it not have been sensible to give him more starts than 8 out of 31 in his preferred ( or what RC says is his preferred position). When you add in to the equation the fact that 12trees burst on to the scene with one of the most brilliant performances of the last 10 years even the most ardent Cockerill fan could perhaps reach the conclusion that development of 12trees has not gone too well .Cockerill and MOc simply don't like flair players - similar treatment for Amorosino , who is not doing too badly at Montpelier .12trees is going and I find that very sad - I hope from the elevation and retention of Ford that lessons have been learnt .
One day , with a more enlightened coaching team tigers will get back on track.

One that was prepared to offer 12T an extra £60K pa and a two year contract?

Ir maybe just more starts at 12?

Br glad to. When I do it would be nice to think you might actually read it, evaluate it and come to the same rational conclusion as many others.

I read this report at the same time as seeing the team for Saturday, imagine my surprise when I see Skivington in the team & Kitchener on the bench.

Cockers is right with his opinion, but can't see that if its correct in one case the same should apply across the board, as for developing 12T's in Tigers case thats a joke in poor taste.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Skivs from all reports was totally upfront about everything where as 12T was ok on the monday but gone on wednesday (via agent) so maybe that is the difference?
No - thats not how it was put by Cockers. Please read again :

"The key for me is that Billy is now leaving the club, so my focus changes to developing the guys that are going to stay," said Cockerill

So if this is truly how Cockers now feels (and I applaud him for admitting he got it wrong with Spice/Harrison - even if we all pointed it out at the time!), then why is Skivs ahead of Kitchener (benched), 12trees ahead of Forsyth (sent to Notts) and White ahead of Bower/Harris (sent to Notts) for the Newcastle game ??? :smt016
