Lee Robinson joins the Insects

Post by tigerrick »

Lee Robinson has joined London Wasps with immediate effect. I hope we can cope :smt002

I have been staggered that he has hung around this long. Big, Strong, Good step and quick, a useful addition for Wasps.

I've only seen him play a couple of times for the A-team and I'd say he was lazy and was suspect in defence.

Met Lee a couple of times at Welford Road, always polite, with only good things to say about the club and seemed a cracking lad!
Actually feel sorry for the guy - he came here to play premiership rugby, but didn't really get the chance to do so (partly due to injuries.)
Wish him all the best for the future!!

He must have realised when he signed that he'd have problems making the team with 4 international wingers and the likes of Matt Smith to compete with, not to mention Morris and Tait joining since.

He never really made any impact when he did play so I wish him well. He certainly won't let Wasps down.

Good luck to him, he needs first team rugby. I hoped, when he joined, he'd be another Dave Lougheed.

Agreed, 31 is no age at all. All he needed was time and understanding. Hopefully he'll get that at Wasps and develop into a fine young winger. :smt003

He looked good on paper but never really got stuck in when he had the chance. He always looked for a gap to run through rather than a player to run into. Just not Tigers' style.

Seriously, good luck to him, but not too much at Wasps.
Opportunities always look bigger going than coming.

Ouch! :smt042

I think we were looking at another Bristol player - one of the Arscott brothers, and ended up signing 'Horse' instead. Not sure why, as it was a gamble. Sadly, it hasn't paid off. Cruelly, re-christened 'Donkey' by some.
I hope he has better luck at Wasps, although out of the two signings, I think Prydie might be the better bet.

Quite agree. Mind you, he always brought to mind Desperate Dan for me.
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….
