The Aironi match

Post by Yelphere »

Glad I decided to stay at home. Nearly half time - 3-6 Aironi! A dire performance so far by Tigers. What is going on?! Clermont knocked 7 bells out of this team.

So are you about to be trashed for being a nay-sayer like me?

sounds....awful. Nothing nay-sayer-ish about it. Facts. I thought good teams were supposed to bounce back? 'Boos' from the crowd as well. Can't remember hearing boos.....

Sounds dire from the radio commentary

I'm normally reasonably positive, but judging by the scoreline, this really is abysmal.

Worst match ever according to Steve Johnson. I am glad I stayed at home too but nevermind there are 23000 at WR to watch the struggling Tigers dropping the ball and going nowhere. "99% possession 98% given away ." Johnson.

Much as I am labelled a nay-sayer, as a fan I'd much rather be totally wrong. So hoping for at least a second half blitz.

What's the excuse today? Salary cap? Can't compete with Aironi's money?

Shouldn't Twelvetrees have a hattrick by now? Ok, I'm trolling. Sounds shocking.

Bleddyn and Johnson said similar on commentary, because we'll have a strong wind behind our backs in the second half - that's what we've been needing......a strong wind!! :smt017

Comedy of Errors

Post by TomR96 »

Almost half time of the Aironi game, and how many knock on's have their been! Tuilagi, Staunton, Twelvetrees, Waldrom, Murphy, Young... everyone! Tuilagi misses an easy run in, and knocks the ball on receiving... that is what you learn when you are about 7 years old, keep an eye on the ball!!! Aironi deserve this victory, and what are Tigers doing kicking for goal in the 23rd minute when they need tries, not only they have a chance of being in the Heineken Cup, but the Amlin Cup, but they only have any chance if they go for tries. I have never seen a performance worst than this, it is awful. They are worst now, when even the internationals were at the RWC. Now Richard Cockerill can't blame this on the Salary Cap! And if he does, does he know what he's talking about! Tigers need big changes, maybe from players and coaches!

SORT IT OUT!

Mrs G is ill, hence not being there. We haven't got Sky. She was wittering about the game. I related the radio commentary and forum to her. She swore - very very rare for her - and is now fast asleep. I suspect that is her judgement!

I have the misfortune of being at the game a well. I can confirm it is as bad as it sounds. We are truly dreadful! Off to the bar for a beer to numb the pain! Never been so bored at a game in my life! Heres hoping for a better second half! Can't be much worse...
