Ashton to Saracens

Post by TigerMuz »

Just another reason to hate the Saffas...

He also tweeted earlier today 'I have decided to join Saracens from next season... until then it's all about Saints.'

95 tries in 105 games for Saints... no matter how much of a **** he is, this is surely a great signing for Sarries....

If I were a winger Sarries is the last place I would want to go - will see nothing like the ball he does at Saints.

He'll see plenty of the ball at Saffacens just as long as he's willing to chase after it!
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

Saffies game plan is not to score tries so my guess is he'll get bored and move on. It's a shame as he would get plenty of ball at Tigers, and our training ground/rituals would sort his temperament out!!!

It is about the only way the back three score trys down there. Strettle is on great form but his only recent try has been an intercept and Wyles, who always seems to play well, only got on the score sheet the other day with a brilliant solo effort out of nothing.

Whenever they do score out wide by going through the hands it always seems to be Joubert finishing off in the corner :smt017

That is £500,000 pa on two wingers. Unless one of them is the marquee signing (and there are some other candidates in the saffas line up), there must be a lot of small salaries around there.

I would love to see his forthcoming wage paket and add it to all the the other true wage packets at Saracens and see what it adds up to. I wonder who they will be getting rid of to accomodate this expensive additition to the squad.

You're right, that is what Strettle's current game is virtually reduced to.

The guys a tw*t.

Seriously, though. I can't understand why A) He'd want to go to Sarries (Aside from the money) and B) How they can afford it?

Clearly breaking the salary cap, its a joke. As it's not being enforced, whats the point?!

On a worrying note, should the South Aficans leave Sarries, it'll have the same effect as if Abramovic left Chelski...

I am sure Saints will cope with out him and as has been mentioned he wont have that big an impact at Sarries due to their style of play.
Stupid move all about the money, I give Sarries 2 years untill they join wasps scrapping to survive both financially and in terms of the prem.

Salary cap issues aside this move appears to have been common knowledge around Franklins Gardens well before Christmas. I was under the impression that no approach could be made before January :smt017
