" . . .no better record than mine in the premiership".

That's ok then!

That Cockers will be fired (unless he resigns) is a self evident truth.

But when?

Wheelbrace is already sounding out possible successors!!

Interestingly(?) the same analysis applied to Sarries, Quins and Wasps reveals: (based on the regular premiership season, and rounded up/down)
Sarries
07/08 Ave game 24,24 , 0 margin
08/09 Ave game 20,20, 0 margin
09/10 Ave game 22, 17, 5 margin
10/11 Ave game 22,14, 8 margin
11/12 Ave game 21, 16 5 margin.
Quins
07/08 Ave game 22,20 , 2 margin
08/09 Ave game 24,18, 6 margin
09/10 Ave game 19, 22, -3 margin
10/11 Ave game 22,17, 4 margin
11/12 Ave game 25, 17, 8 margin
Wasps
07/08 Ave game 25, 21, 4 margin
08/09 Ave game 20, 19, 1 margin
09/10 Ave game 18, 18, 0 margin
10/11 Ave game 19,23, -4 margin
11/12 Ave game 16,22, -6 margin

Not a vast difference between Tigers and Quins/Sarries over last 2 seasons except the points against. Statistics/Numbers can be made to show anything, think the key is having the mental collective team strength to win key matches, which has happened quite regularly over the last 10 seasons or so.

The stats do nicely shows the wasps decline though.

Any chance of knocking this thread on the head now?

Happy to oblige.
I could agree with you...but then we'd both be wrong.

Ah Scouse...you are as sad as I am! First off me mum always said that you should look to your own standards not other peoples! You can only improve your own!

I looked at the scores expecting to find a big differeence! I didn't really except, if your analysis is bob on......no reason to doubt that! Then we've been regularly scoring more points than most.....I'ts just this lately we've started to leak! When your scoring more than most and leaking less you've got a beeter chance of winning stuff.

(Tigerburnie:- note it's not rocket science.......)

Question! Is it a lack of penetrtion from the backs or a leaky defence that's our achillies heel? A comparison of forwars v backs scores over the years would be interesting!

Seems like the forum is discussing this stuff again.

Maybe people should take a read from the beginning of the thread and see if anything rings true nowadays...
