Glad to see that potent attacking back line is kept together!
I'll be cheering them on but i fear we will get nothing from it, please prove me wrong lads. :smt012

Plus...

ASM Clermont Auvergne: 15 Lee Byrne, 14 Sitiveni Sivivatu, 13 Regan King, 12 Wesley Fofana, 11 Julien Malzieu, 10 David Skrela, 9 Morgan Parra; 1 Lionel Faure (or Vincent Debaty), 2 Ti'i Paulo, 3 Clement Ric, 4 Jamie Cudmore, 5 Jason White, 6 Gerhard Vosloo, 7 Alexandre Lapandry, 8 Julien Bonnaire. Reps: 16 Benjamin Kayser, 17 Vincent Debaty (or Raphael Chaume), 18 Daniel Kotze, 19 Nathan Hines, 20 Elvis Vermeulen, 21 Kevin Senio, 22 Brock James, 23 Gavin Williams

So no Marcos, let's hope for a big game from Boris.

A good lineup for the Clermont game. A win of any any description will do me, and if we can deny them a losing point, all the better.

Points noted :

1. Cockers does not agree with the majority of posters about playing two 13s being a problem then....

2. Castro started last week - surely Cole's turn to start this ?

3. I rate Boris, but losing Ayerza is a blow

4. Hamilton over Morris again - why ??

5. Thought Slater was pushing for a start - now not in the 23...

6. Pleased to see Rougerie missing from their line up - but King's not a bad replacement !

Its going to be a very tense 80 minutes tomorrow !!

So who is the replacement loose-head? Both Julian and Dan are tight heads by trade. I'm guessing Dan Cole?

Not altogether sure we've got one.

We have to remember that Clermont are a different side away from home. We stuck with them well at their place until we went down to 13 men and then we fell away. No great shock as you don't only suffer during the 10 mins you are down but with the guys on the field having to plug the extra holes when you do go back to a full compliment 13 of your guys are blowing hard. Things like that also get the home crowd going and once that happens the French get the momentum and are difficult to stop.

I'm pretty confident of 4 points this weekend. The big thing will be trying to deny them a LBP.

Castro can shift across if necessary.

But he's a lot better tight than loose.

After seeing some of the french tactics last week, Boris might as well have a target tatooed on his forehead. If he gets carded for anything or injured, we'll be in the mire.

Horacio thinks this is no longer true of French sides and Clermont in particular. He spent 2 years with Brive.

I wouldn't expect him to say any different before the game.

Clermont didn't manage to turn Ulster over away from home. I am still confident we will get the win.

We have to hit them hard in and around the tackle zone (I just can't bring myself to type 'breakdown', and 'ruck' or 'maul' are now just joke terms from the past). Is it me or does that lineup cry out 'crash ball' and then more 'crash ball'?
Crash without the ball probably?
