Re: Leicester v Clermont Auvergne
Two five point wins will leave us top, even a four and five win should see us qualify for the quarter finals.By the time the next rounds come we will have injured players back. Keep the faith, after all it is only a game and we should not allow the result of a rugby match, spoil a good day out

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Yesterday I heard Marcos Ayerza is to be out for 6 weeks and it'll be another 4-5 weeks before Craig Newby is fit. Also, everything seemed to have gone quiet on Anthony Allen at the moment.jonlin wrote:By the time the next rounds come we will have injured players back.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

He's got to finish his flooring first.
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

On top of that I understand that Geoff Parling is still using a crutch!

Can we get a drum?
Re: Leicester v Clermont Auvergne
On the injuries front, what is wrong with Ayaerza, and does anyone know why Aguila was taken off? He didn't look a happy bunny as walked past the Crumbie.
Opportunities always look bigger going than coming.

Marcos walked past me in the Cat stand wearing an elegant overcoat and a cast on his left wrist...

Marcos did something to his wrist in Clermont last weekend. I don't know the full extent of the damage but he appeared to be in a fair bit of pain at the time. I think Horacio's was just a tactical substitution yesterday.GS wrote:On the injuries front, what is wrong with Ayaerza (sic), and does anyone know why Aguila (sic) was taken off? On a point of order, no French side has a salary cap of 24M. IIRC it's c. €8.1M.leic wrote:I was at the game today and reading the forum, im pinching myself to think was i watching a different game to some of you! OK first half wasnt great, but i loved the 2nd half. Great come back by tigers, very entertaining, awful conditions, against a side thats salary cap is worth 24 million with numerous internationals! and we won!! Cheer up its Christmas and its not all bad!!

5 points at Ravenhill is fantasy land.jonlin wrote:Two five point wins will leave us top, even a four and five win should see us qualify for the quarter finals.By the time the next rounds come we will have injured players back. I agree that 9 points will probably be enough to see us through, although we're hardly in the form to turn over a good QF team on their patch.
Re: Leicester v Clermont Auvergne
Thanks BJ. I did almost hope that Aguila was taken off for an injury as didn't really see what Hamilton brought to the party. Apart from nearly giving a try away that is.BJ. wrote:Marcos did something to his wrist in Clermont last weekend. Unless we win at Ravenhill then this is the likely final table and it will be bye, bye to Europe for this season:
Clermont: 20 points
Ulster: 19 points
Leicester: 18 points
Clermont: 20 points
Ulster: 19 points
Leicester: 18 points

Oh, yesterday was the first of three must-win games.G.K wrote:Unless we win at Ravenhill then this is the likely final table and it will be bye, bye to Europe for this season:

5 points is unrealistic, but 4 points in round 5 is essential to progress.
Re: Leicester v Clermont Auvergne
9 Points will see us top the group.
Clermont should get 9 points from their games but could lose to Ulster. Ulster could come out of the next 2 games with 2 points.
My predicted table
Tigers: 21
Clermont: 20
Ulster: 16
Aironi: 0
If we could get a bonus point against Ulster we may get a home 1/4 but it is very unlikely.
