We fly to Rodez and drive to CF on Fri 9, and stay for a couple of nights at the Novotel Polydrome on Avenue de la Republique.

Anyone else travelling?

Bigmikey and wifey are also staying at the Lafayette. No transport organised yet so we might drive down by car on Friday pm and Saturday am. Looking forward to seeing some other Tigers there.

Me, 'er indoors plus a mate are flying EMA-CDG on the 06.45 on Friday, 14.00 train to Clermont from Paris, staying at the Lafayette, train back on Monday morning, lunch in the capital with Ze Stade Fan, fly back on the 19.25 to EMA.

Two seasons back, we were made very welcome at the Guillaume Tell bar which is the home of the Clermont 'ultra' supporters. It has been renamed the Bouclier de Brennus and is on Rue Pélissier approx. 50m east of the junction with Rue d'Effiat (Google Maps will show you although it's still shown as the Guillaume Tell). Cafe Pascal on the Place de la Victoire is also definitely worth trying.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

Clermont Auvergne v Leicester

Post by tigermad »

:smt024 :smt024

Leicester travel to France to face high flyers Clermont Auvergne in the first game of a double header against the French outfit. Clermont team is sprinkled with rugby talent and quite a few play for France on a regular basis. Heineken Cup action does not get much better than this and I hope to be there for the return leg at Welford Road. After last weekend, any result is possible.

Well, that's just over a dozen of us then. We'd better take our best shouting voices with us. :smt009

It probably has something to do with people not being able to get the time off or not having the luxury of being able to afford it.

4 of us going but only 3 tickets so far. Looks like it's sold out on the Clermont website. Anyone got a spare ticket to sell?
