A stadium is only as good as the people who fill it.

And for that you can't beat Welford Road and Thomond Park.

Assuming Welford Road is not to be chosen, then:

Most passionate - Thomond Park
Poshest - Twickenham
Most welcoming - Treviso
Best craic - Thomond Park or ANZ Stadium last June
Worst journey - Twickenham or Millennium Stadium
Best food - Perpignan
Best beer - Clermont
Best crowd - Thomond Park
Best totty - Treviso or Viadana (now Aironi)
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

This is very simple. Welford Road. A great place, filled with great and friendly people. It is always somewhere I look forward to going too, don't get there enough. Always great to catch up with people there.

In a close second I will pick my club. Swaffham RUFC. We might be a very (and I do mean very) small club in the back end of the middle of nowhere but we are blessed with a brilliant bunch of people and a great set up.

If anyone is out in those parts on a weekend please feel free to pop in if there is a match on. You would be very welcome.

Parc des Princes - 2001 Tigers vs Stade, concrete bowl but awesome atmosphere
Eden Park - 2003 NZ vs Oz to win the Bledisloe Cup back after 5 years, truly spine tingling with anthems followed by haka
Welford Road - numerous Heineken games vs French opposition - Toulouse, Stade, Clermont
Cardiff Arms Park - bad result vs Brive, but amazing venue.
Twickenham - 1999 WC for England vs NZ when England came back from 16-3 to 16 all before Lomu killed it off and NZ won 30-16. Only time I've loved Twickers.

All in all I've been fortunate enough to get to some great games.

Rome is best and is also best for totty, although WR has more than its fair share of beauties.

Millenium and Twickenham just present hideous journeys.

And I can't agree with Paris presenting the best food. I think this culinery myth took hold in the days when Brits only cooked murdered beef with boiled spuds and soppy carrots. Now that we know how to cook, I would go for ethnic British (Chinese, Indian, etc) and Italian every time.
Kicks and scrums and ruck and roll.....Is all my brain and body need!

Oh dear kinoulton my petite cherie you mean to say you prefer a sweet and sour salmon sunrise to levelled d'agneau six capres followed by grenouilles a'la vitelloise with a side serving of ris veau a la briade with. A tarte au citron as a pud wshed down with a bottle of something deep red and satisfying. No the local takeaway has a lot to live up to

I agree with Kinoulton - French is the most over-hyped food in the world. Get far better fed in Italy, Thailand, Germany, etc etc not to mention the only thing French red wine has is price and snob value.
