Wayne Barnes rank rotten as usual. Contepomi was a mile offside at the end when he charged Parks' drop goal, Barnes miseed it. Idiot cost us the game.

Contepomi was behind Barnes who watching the ruck. Contrary to popular belief, referees don't have eyes in the back of their heads or their backsides. Contepomi took a chance and got away with it.

And there were more than a few times Scotland got the Ref's benevolence. Scotland also missed opportunities earlier in the game. The Ref didn't lose it for Scotland, Argentina won it. Makes it interesting for next weekend.

Scotland lost because of dreadful tackling for the Argentinian try, and their poor performance at the breakdown.

Yes it was offside and yes it was poor of the ref to miss it, but why did Parks still go for the drop with players on top of him - a bit of composure, set up a ruck, recycle the ball and start again until a better chance for the kick.

Not good for the Tigers - we'd have had 2 players back sooner if Scotland had won.

Just what I was thinking. :smt011

Surely if Wayne Barnes hasn't got eyes in the back of his head, then the touch-judge should come to his aid.

Scotland were robbed today!

Also, when he scored his glorious try, I thought, "WHY DID we get rid of Amorosino again!?" :smt017

Then his fumble in the corner reminded me of his early games for Tigers.

Wayne Barnes may have missed the offside - which was no worse than many others we have seen in this RWC - but generally I thought he had an excellent game. Much better than anything Kaplan has managed.

Scotland weren't robbed: the Argentinians had them matched in all areas of the play and the Scots never once looked like scoring. If Argentina hadn't missed so many kicks they'd have been even with or ahead of Scotland before the try.

What really bugs me is that Scotland play like drains and get beaten and everyone says how wonderful they were - England beat Argentina and should have beaten them by more and everyone says how dreadful they were - double standards or what?

Today's result makes it interesting for "us" next week ...

Brian Moore just tweeted ... Pool B; assume A win+1 =15; S win +1 = 15 Eng out. S win + 0 = 14 goes on result between equal teams so Eng out. Eng w or loss +1 S out

Looks like a cracker next weekend!
