Really? Who was he playing for?MelChannerFan wrote:He was brilliant against the Argies.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.
Re: Why did we let Amorasino go?
To answer the question - too much flair , too much pace and a reluctance to buy in to our boring style of play . Also a bit injury prone and sometimes a bit flaky under the high ball .

Would this be the boring style of play that made Tigers end last season with more tries and the most try bonus points than any other team in the Premiership?mike wrote:To answer the question - too much flair , too much pace and a reluctance to buy in to our boring style of play . the future is Scarlet Green and White

I hear its cos Speedy wanted more first team berths. He came on leaps and bounds IMO, and could have been stunning for us, but as a Pumas international he wanted to play more first team rugby. Its fair enough I think.
He was really splendid in last season's A competition.

Re: Why did we let Amorasino go?
Sometimes, nothing seems to make any sense at Tigers--
I mean, selling Amorosino when we have Hurrell Robinson and Smith on board ???
Let us hope that the rumours about AAC arriving from the Aussies is true....

Whilst I would welcome him signing for us, I thought this 'rumour' had died a death some time ago? IIRC he extended his deal with the ARU for another 2 years earlier this year, staying at the Brumbies. Could be wrong and things may have changed.norfolkexpat wrote:Let us hope that the rumours about AAC arriving from the Aussies is true....
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

He's no longer listed as a member of the Brumbies squad on their websiteWhitecapTiger wrote:Whilst I would welcome him signing for us, I thought this 'rumour' had died a death some time ago? You missed out the other two problems - too small and weak tackler. I did like his rather bizarre running style though.mike wrote:To answer the question - too much flair , too much pace and a reluctance to buy in to our boring style of play . For when the One Great Scorer comes to write against your name,
He marks - not that you won or lost - but how you played the Game."

The club did miss a sitter in not producing "Churchill" dog style nodding Amorosinos...DickyP wrote: You missed out the other two problems - too small and weak tackler. I did like his rather bizarre running style though.
Re: Why did we let Amorasino go?
I spoke to Lucas and he said he needed more first team match time, which is fair enough.
Life was like a box of chocolates - until I ate them!
Re: Why did we let Amorasino go?
Err, Lucas is at the World Cup so had he stayed we would have been even more depleted.
We've got Mathew Tait in his place haven't we?
& there's still Lee Robinson, at least he's fit!
