I hear its cos Speedy wanted more first team berths. He came on leaps and bounds IMO, and could have been stunning for us, but as a Pumas international he wanted to play more first team rugby. Its fair enough I think.

He was really splendid in last season's A competition.

Whilst I would welcome him signing for us, I thought this 'rumour' had died a death some time ago? IIRC he extended his deal with the ARU for another 2 years earlier this year, staying at the Brumbies. Could be wrong and things may have changed.

You missed out the other two problems - too small and weak tackler. I did like his rather bizarre running style though.

I spoke to Lucas and he said he needed more first team match time, which is fair enough.

Err, Lucas is at the World Cup so had he stayed we would have been even more depleted.
