Newcastle Vs Leicester

Post by Mr Bean »

:smt024 :smt024

Leicester travel to Kingston Park next weekend looking to bounce back after two losses on the trot. Firstly to Exeter on the opening day and then a loss to Wasps this weekend. Newcastle are also yet to find a win this season after losing to Bath and Exeter. Also according to the BBC this match has an interesting kick off time of 15.05

To all the leicester fans coming up to kingston park on saturday. Kingston park is now home to the New Zealand Gourmet Pie Company. The team will be there pre match giving away samples in the West Stand Bar with some of the injured Kiwi players who are signing autographs for the youngins. Make sure you try these pies as they are gorgeous – absolutely stuffed with meat with melt in your mouth pastry. The fillings are Minted Lamb and Steak and Cheese ( a national dish in NZ )! Look forward to hearing of any pie tales you want to share and seeing you up in Newcastle next weekend for some quality rugby! Lord of the Pies.

Surprised you didn't sign Goodey and Thommo then.
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

don't fancy our chances much on Saturday only managed to win up there twice in the last 6 years, Newcastle will be up for this game and I must admit that I think they may win by the odd score. :smt009

Newcastle look like they're in for a struggle this season. Good opportunity for Tigers to get their first win.

I predict a comfortable win.

I'd like to see Kieran Brookes put in a more assured performance this weekend. He didn't look entirely comfortable in the set pieces against Wasps and his ball carrying was a little lethargic.
With it only being his 2nd league start for us this is understandable, but we could really do with him finding his Saxons form during this RWC period.

I enjoyed a lot of our efforts during the Wasps game (in an edge-of-the-seat sort of way) and we should kick on this weekend and but more lengthy phases of good play together. Newcastle are always tough at home - I'm not expecting a 20 point win for us - but we should be able to out-think them and out-play them for the win!

This is a perfect time to throw Mickey Young in and see what he can do.

My team for Saturday:

Hamilton
Smith
Twelvetrees
Allen
Morris
Ford
Young
Stanks
Chuter
Brookes
Slater
Skivington
Mafi
Salvi
Waldrom

Hawkins, Bucknall, White, Kitchener, Woods, Grindal, Staunton, Tait.

Matt Smith looked in some trouble with his shoulder when he was subbed on Sunday and I'm not sure if Farmer White has recovered from his knee operation. I'd be very surprised if either of them made the 23 for this weekend.

In that case I'll promote Tait (providing that HE'S fit!) from the bench and Harris and Forsyth into the substitutes.

I said this in another thread, but I'd love to see Hawkins start a match. Unlikely considering Chuter's inoffensive form and captaincy.

If we carry on from where we left off against Wasps then i to predict a comfortable win,and at least it's not a wet miserable Friday night!!

A win would then see us go into the Sarries game with a bit more confidence.

Tigers to win by 10-15 points :smt023
POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE.
