KIdney truly made a mess of this, and now with Jones having a potential injuiry, Murphy may be needed after all!

The look on Jones's face when he came off was one of a layer who knew he wouldn't make it IMO. Would've thought Kidney would refrain from naming squad until after yesterday's game. If called back it'll be great for Geordan and he won't let Ireland down, but it will be a knock back for Tigers. I hope he does get recalled, would be his last chance for RWC really and he deserves a crack at it.
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

Jones' injury means we are almost guaranteed to be without Murphy for the WC.

Yup, Murphy has been named in the Irish squad. Nice for him, not so good for Tigers perhaps. :smt001

Thrilled for Geordan on a personal level, however it cannot go without saying that this is a blow for Tigers as his experience would have been vital.

Delighted for him he deserves a last chance to shine at international level. A shame for Tigers and we will miss him but he should be back after the group stages anyway :smt003 :smt003 :smt003

A shame for Felix Jones though, but he will have more chances to shine in the future.
