I so very nearly got up to watch this. Gutted I didn't now, but it serves me right for having so little faith in Samoa to beat the Aussies!

Thanks apps!

Excellent AT try, but a bit of a marginal tackle - still, the ref didn't ping it!

Well done Samoa :smt003

Awesome. A really nice surprise when I saw the headline earlier. Even if the Wallabies had a few missing, this was still a very big scalp.

And people complain about our lack of pace in the backline, but Alex shows he is no slouch for a big man. This really has been his best season since 06/07.

Alesana really stepped up in the mid and later parts of the season and he seems to have carried that forward. The addition of Tait and the return of Geordan to the backthree will hopefully allow him a little more room and see the backthree sparkling next season.

Great power performance by Samoa who caught the Aussies cold and really deserved their victory.

My guess is that he nearly got up to watch it, but decided not too, as he thought it would be a forgone conclusion?

Ditto Sam. Very impressive Samoan attitude and Alesana doing what he does best. This put a smile on my face.

Got up at 5 yesterday and it was a right game. Best ive seen Alex play for ages, his defense was excellent as well. The Aussies couldnt handle the physicallity of the Samoans and Wales best watch out come September

I think since 07 Alex has had injury problems, but was played anyway for intimidation factor. Towards the end of the 09/10 season he was coming back into form after his broken foot, then carried this on into this season with great effect.

I also think he plays better with a quick but basher type centre. As he hit his stride when playing with Manu or Seru

Hopefully he returns from the RWC uninjured and has another stormer.
All good 7's play on the edge if not they are a waste of space!!

Glad that OH recored the match. I jumped out of my seat when AT scored, it was a great game to watch.

Samoa even managed to gain points with one of their players in the sin bin, brilliant game.
