Rugby Lions
Seems to be some changes at Rugby Lions.
Canadian money.
Two former Tiger back rowers (one recently up-north and the other a had a spell in France and opposite Twickers), both legends, as management and a recently retired 7s specialist as "player-coach".
Some promise too of a "To die for" stadium.
But then it may be just rumours.

Re: Rugby Lions
I would be interested in the source of this story as they were relegated to nat 3 midlands last year and lost a lot of players.
I wonder if this is the same Canadian money that was going to Paris.

Two very well respected sources.
One a good mate of one of the legends.

Well as you say just have to wait and see.
Last I heard the larger of the 2 legends was acting in an advisory capacity at Worcester.

Re: Rugby Lions
Wouldn't it be great though that in 5 years time, seems to be the time scale, there was a third successful team in the East Midlands with a state of the art stadium?
Re: Rugby Lions
It would be great but i dont think they have a big enough fan base to draw from to be a successful professional team. I am presume that they would go pro if they are thinking of a state of the art stadium.
Re: Rugby Lions
Dont think the east mids would be able to support 3 professional teams successfully. Be nice if they could and if the rumours are true good luck to Rugby Lions, give it a go.

Re: Rugby Lions
Many moons ago Coventry and Mosely were reasonably well supported, and Brumigem hasn't got a team of much note(I always thought Warwickshire was in the West Midlands).

Why is no one naming names? Is it a secret?
