I haven't seen Barnesy's aticle in the ST but his article on the sky sports rugby page gives a balanced view of the Manu incident.
However I agree with Bill; to say outright that Goodliffe was lieing is a genuine insult and probably libelous.

What further action (against Paul Ackford) do you envisage? Duff him up in the showers? Let his tyres down? Ban him fom Welford Road?

Cockers denies using foul or abusive language

As a matter of interest, the EMT sports reporter Mark Shardlow mentioned on last night's edition he was sat in the press box and heard nothing of the alleged bad language that has been reported.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

Mark Shardlow may be prompted by memories of his old PE teacher - Chalky White :smt023

As there was so much smoke it's easy to think that there must have been at least a bit of a fire. Cockers denies foul language and aggression. Cockers not being aggressive - hmm. Either way there's been nothing from O'Connor, yet, and not being a direct witness I can't judge one way or the other, but that won't stop all the trolls etc. Just as journalism does seem to have a reputation at times for not letting the facts get in the way of a good story.
