Don't tar them all with the same brush, but I can't comment as I watched on the telly. What happened?

I've no idea what the originator of this thread is talking about.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.
Re: gloucester fans!!
well where we was standing we had a big group of them near us and they were going on about how we wasnt applauding there play, kicks ect...
Then they started blaring on about how tigers fans are so far up their own and that we never go to support the tigers away from home blah blah blah...
Then at the end of the game when they scored they were getting in our faces acting like kids!!
Luckily i stopped myself from retaliating because i thought they were bang out of order..

Sounds like a bunch of bad eggs. Shame.
Re: gloucester fans!!
that's a real shame...the gloucs fan near us were really nice, condescending and said we deserved the win. Then a group of fans went out of their way to shake my hand outside of the ground, shame that some seem to let them down.

Wasn't at the game, cannot comment directly, but have you considered that maybe, just maybe, this was a bit of adrenaline (probably diluted in beer ), relief, pride etc at their club having just scored a try that gave them 3 points away at our place?bigfoot25 wrote:Then at the end of the game when they scored they were getting in our faces acting like kids!!
Think back to when Dan Hipkiss scored the late try in the final at Twickenham last year and the when Salmon Parling leapt to steal the lineout which won us the trophy, I guarantee that there were a few Sarries fans thinking the same about Tigers fans' celebrations and comments.

But I think your Freudian slip was probably closer to the mark Lis113

I feel embarrassed at my drunken self and therefore I shall retire to fish and chips and come back when the guiness and tiger have worn off!WhitecapTiger wrote:Lis113 wrote:WAITR?! where did condescending come from?! i swear to god i didn't right that,.... im still feeling the affects of a few pints!"

Re: gloucester fans!!
The two couples who stood behind us were great.
True rugby supporters, had great chat before the game and at halftime, with a lot of banter during the game.
They were vocal in support of their team as we were in ours. But we all shook hands at the end and wished each other well. Just as it should be.
Sorry you had a bad experience.

Re: gloucester fans!!
Disagree totally. There were a group of Gloucester supporters just along the barrier from us (2 small kids in between us and them) we had some nice chat, applauded each others' teams at the end and wished each other well for the next game.
A pity that two or three Tigers fans standing a couple of rows behind were not as sporting or pleasant towards our visitors, they made me ashamed to consider them fellow fans.

We had a few Glaws fans behind us and they were fine, quite loud but supportive of what both teams were doing and not at all bad mannered or rude.
POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE.
